What is it like?
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is both challenging and rewarding. The summit of Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak, stands at an impressive 19,341 feet above sea level, making it the highest point in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
As you ascend the mountain, you will experience a wide range of weather conditions and landscapes. The Mountain temperatures range from warm to extremely cold. The lower slopes of the mountain are lush with vegetation and wildlife, while the upper slopes are barren and covered in snow and ice. The summit is often covered in clouds, making for a dramatic and otherworldly experience.
